Your favorite classic?

For the few who read this blog, please tell me what your favorite classic is and why!  I would love to hear your response.

What is your favorite Poe tale though? If you had to pick just one.

That is really a tough one. My favorite classic would probably be "The Age of Innocence" by Edith Wharton, or "Emma" by Jane Austen. "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" would probably be another.

Lord of the Flies b. William Goulding.
there truly IS a beast in all of us.
a review of the book i saw before reading it described it as "almost
unimaginable terror". being the skeptic i thought, "yeah Right".
turned out to be accurate!

Edith Wharton - "Ethan Frome"

Though I cannot say that I do not absolutely love Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Eyre"

I've read only a limited amount, but so far my two favorites are Jane Eyre and 1984.
