Hunger turned out to be good

Although "Hunger" by Knut Hamsun was kind of hard to digest early on, I found the book to be very good overall.  The ending to me happened abruptly but as it should.  I would not know how to end that type of book any other way.

I would recommend this book to a lover of classics.

I don't think the ending was any more abrupt than any of the sudden, impulsive acts committed by the narrator throughout the book. And I've never thought it was a "happy" ending either. Email me (address in my blog sidebar) if you care to hear why - I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't read this great book.
